The Inland Empire Valley Flute Society (IEVFS) in collaboration with the A.K. Smiley Public Library will be presenting a free concert of flute music on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at 2:30p.m. The event will be held at The Contemporary Club, located at 173 S. Eureka St., in Redlands.
The event is the IEVFS’s annual Membership Recital and will feature performances by members of the Flute Society. There will be solo performances, as well as duets, trios by the Festivo Ensemble, and pieces for flute ensemble, performed by Silver Sounds Flute Ensemble, an eight-member flute choir based out of Redlands.
The concert will include pieces for up to seven flutes. The groups will perform pieces from a diversity of musical genres, from baroque through modern. In addition, a wide range of flutes will be used, including rarely seen alto and bass flutes, as well as the traditional C-flute and piccolo.
The concert is free and open to the public.
